Conversion mechanism of a continuous pressure arch structure in strip filling mining

Abstract Strip mining is the key technology to solve problem of coal under water, so mastering law overburden load transfer in strip safe production working face. We studied it context shallow seam No. 3 Shanghe Coal Mine (northern Shaanxi Province, China) through similarity simulation and field measurement analysis. A theoretical analysis, based on concept pressure arch, allowed establishment a continuous arch model for pillars (or filling bodies) mine. similar study staged has previously shown that, first stage, overlying strata mainly transferred remaining pillars; second this sustained by odd-numbered finally, third first-stage body, while third-stage body not loaded. Our analysis showed during rock outside was structure, that inside body; structure lost stability recovery even-numbered axis developed upward, leading formation new with an odd number as foot; after pillars, formed. The foot supporting represented moreover, borne second-stage ensuring mining. revealed pillar or only bears part (filling body) correspondence face 3216 each stage measured analyzed, proving transformation between body. Finally, we verified reliability proposed model.
